In many countries, paths-monuments to expressive artists and significant personalities, tracing the traces of their presence and achievements, are important attractions for tourist escapades. A cognitive instrument that deepens knowledge about the presented figure or branch of art. They testify to the artistic, national or local specific, its cultural specificity and color. These include: the trail of Alfons Mucha, Gustav Klimt, the impressionists, Antonio Gaudi and Joan Miró.

One of such paths in Poland, still informally, is the Balancing Sculptures' Trail of Jerzy Jotka Kędziora.
It is a spatial and simultaneous monument of Polish contemporary art created in a unique, unconventional formula of "agravity" figures placed on ropes. These entities detached from the earth touch on social aspects of our lives, and the way they are presented proves the unique artistic matter. A multicolored palette of personalities can entertain with its artistic wit, intrigue with the unique structure of figures and provoke reflection on the human and artistic condition of our times. Autonomous sections of a specific, simultaneous spider's web create a common artistic organism.

From several dozen works, we can spot figures that delve into culture, history and social life. Touching, exposing and engaging in the artist's didactic and therapeutic projects, or supporting the rebirth of cultural and material heritage. Showing the matter of physical culture, sports and even Olympism in a fresh approach. Building and expanding legends and parahistory.

In dense clusters, works create open galleries and mark local, more condensed, shorter routes. Such are created by Igrce Częstocha in the Old Town in Częstochowa and the surrounding area, or also by works exhibited in Krakow, with Father Bernatek's Footbridge over the Vistula at the forefront.

The trail is a living, constantly expanding object of fresh artistic thought, an important component of Polish culture and national heritage. A simultaneous monument to a balancer who grew up in the context of Polish social and political transformations, a man detached from the earth and carried with his dreams of freedom of action and freedom of thought to the heavenly firmament. Works of representational sculpture, rooted in centuries-old artistic achievements, but creating an avant-garde branch of its presentation and saturated with natural, wobbling energy and expression.

The trail has over 20 stops-locations scattered throughout Poland, containing over 50 balancing sculptures, with large exhibitions stretched at both ends of the Jura "Between Water and Sky" in Krakow and Theatrum of Sculptures "Igrce Częstocha" in Częstochowa, studio presentations in Krakow and Poczesna, and smaller installations located in many places in Poland.

Below is a full list of places where you can see Jerzy Kędziora's balancing sculptures. The names of the towns and the photos are also links to a subpage with information about individual sculptures or their larger compositions.
