Pomnik Louisa Armstronga przed Filharmonią Częstochowską to jedyna taka rzeźba w Polsce. Powstał z inicjatywy Polskiego Stowarzyszenia Jazzu Tradycyjnego, a głównie jego członka–założyciela, Janusza Kurka, który wiele lat temu spotkał się osobiście z Armstrongiem.
Pomnik został odsłonięty w maju 2015 roku w ostatnim dniu 11. edycji Festiwalu Jazzu Tradycyjnego Hot Jazz Spring Częstochowa 2015.
Przedstawienie słynnego jazzmana nie jest figurą statyczną, podmuchy wiatru wprawiają ją w ruch, sprawiając wrażenie pląsu w takt niesłyszalnej muzyki.

Balancing sculpture by Jerzy Kędziora - permanent exhibition
The statue of Louis Armstrong in front of the Częstochowa Philharmonic is the only such sculpture in Poland. It was established on the initiative of the Polish Traditional Jazz Association, and mainly its founding member, Janusz Kurek, who met Armstrong in person many years ago.
The monument was unveiled in May 2015 on the last day of the 11th edition of the Traditional Jazz Festival Hot Jazz Spring Częstochowa 2015.
The representation of the famous jazzman is not a static figure, gusts of wind set it in motion, giving the impression of dancing to the inaudible music.
